Selection and Disposal

The selection of certain images and disposal of the ones that won't be visibly effective is vital to ensure my work sends the right message about this project. All the images I have will be used but the images I'm disposing will not be the main focus for my project. The images i have selected are:

From these images I can start my development work for the project.

My Images

My Images

Here are the images from the "Toy Box". These images were taken of my nephews toy box for this project.

These are the images that were taken from the Toy Box. All these images have links to the several artist I have looked at so far and will be further developed in a number of ways to emphasise the bright colour qualities found within the toy box. It will also emphasise the light qualities within these photos as well as the layered features and the chaotic features.

Andre Butzer

From the research I have done previously I have found this artist that has several links to my work elaborate use of colour, unified lines and recognisable figures appearing out the 'madness'. many of these aspects not only intrigued me but want me to push "Toy Box" to this direction of painting while keeping with the idea of collaging.
Here are some images:

I like the simplistic style of painting for the image below as it reminds me of a child's painting. It gives me a link to the connotations behind the theme of "Toy Box"

The link between this and the previous artist i've been looking at are the explosive colour qualities and layers used to make a visually effective image. Aspects which I want to incorporate into my final image.

Further research after Craig Martin

Investigating Michael Craig martin I have widened my research in terms of artists who use found objects, colour in a similar way, composition and mark making. This has given me a broader frame of ere fence than the one I started with.
